Project: Oaklands College, St Albans
Issue: Renovation of aluminium window frames on listed college blocks.
Solution: We were recommended to a major housing developer to restore aluminium window frames. Once the glass had been removed, high pressure steam was used to remove putty and sixty years of grime and traffic film. Then specialist chemicals were used to remove years of oxidisation prior to polishing. This process saved the developer hundreds of thousands of pounds by not having to replace the frames.
